150 DnV observers will be in the field for elections

A coalition of election observation organizations, “Democracy in Action,” has announced plans to monitor the upcoming July 7 elections through a comprehensive domestic observation mission. According to Eugen Cakolli, the monitoring effort will cover the primary components of the entire electoral process. The scope of the observation extends significantly into the digital sphere.

The team intends to monitor problematic online content, specifically addressing disinformation, fake news, hate speech, and any manipulative material circulating during the campaign period. Furthermore, the monitoring will encompass election chronicles, formal political debates, and the public social media pages belonging to various candidates. In preparation for the elections, the coalition has mobilized a substantial field presence.

A total of 150 observers from DnV will be deployed across all municipalities nationwide to ensure comprehensive coverage. The observers plan to conduct detailed oversight of all election chronicles, providing continuous reporting on the atmosphere and procedures at polling stations. This multifaceted approach—combining physical presence with digital scrutiny—is designed to ensure transparency and adherence to electoral standards across the country.

The deployment of these observers underscores a commitment to observing the integrity of the democratic process throughout the election cycle.
