Person Arrested in Mitrovica for Alleged Illegal Postal Delivery in Kosovo
Kosovo police apprehended an individual in Mitrovica, northern Kosovo, on April 7, 2026, following reports of unauthorized postal delivery services. Veton Elshani, representing the Kosovo police’s Northern District, confirmed the arrest. The individual was suspected of handling postal packages without proper authorization.
According to Elshani, the investigation stemmed from information regarding the individual possessing postal deliveries, primarily related to court decisions originating from Serbia. He explained that such actions are illegal within Kosovo, as legal documents must be delivered through the Ministry of Justice. Following questioning, the detained person was released.
