Acting President Albulena Haxhiu participated in a ceremony honoring individuals who died during the Kosovo War and marking significant events from the conflict. The event took place in remembrance of those who lost their lives and were martyred as a result of the war. Haxhiu’s visit centered on three villages – Poklek, Çikatovë e Vjetër, and Krajkovë të Drenasit – acknowledging their historical significance within Kosovo.

The ceremony aimed to preserve the memory of the conflict and advocate for justice concerning alleged crimes committed during the period. A focal point of the remembrance was the recognition of Sokol Elshani, described as a “valuable figure of our nation.” Elshani, whose family was involved in the national cause, was honored for his contributions to the effort. The ceremony concluded with a dedication to honoring the sacrifices made and ensuring that the historical record is maintained.
