Valon Murati, a political science specialist, recently analyzed the evolving political landscape in Kosovo. He asserted that the alliance between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani was fundamentally a temporary arrangement. “It represented a marriage of convenience,” murati explained, “and those familiar with the careers of both Mr.
Kurti and Ms. Osmani have recognized this for years.”
He further detailed that this incompatibility had been evident throughout the preceding four to five years. Murati indicated that, acknowledging President Osmani’s restricted authority, she had offered support to the Prime Minister.
“Despite significant differences, I found it notable that even within the international sphere, Mr. Kurti experienced a period of relative isolation.”
The political scientist emphasized the underlying tensions. He suggested that the coalition’s formation was driven by necessity rather than genuine alignment of goals.
This dynamic, murati argued, was predictable given the established trajectories of Kurti and Osmani.
