Medica Gjakova launched the procedures and manual for dealing with trauma and stress.

Medica Gjakova Introduces New Protocols to Enhance Patient Care

In response to growing emphasis on patient-centered care within the healthcare sector, Medica Gjakova has implemented new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and a Manual for Approach to Stress and Trauma (STA-HS). The initiative, reported by Ekonomia Online, reflects a commitment to providing a more humane and comprehensive approach to care within Kosovar healthcare institutions. The SOPs are designed for public primary and secondary healthcare facilities to deliver a secure, confidential, and patient-focused response to individuals experiencing trauma or distress.

These protocols prioritize a supportive environment for survivors. According to Medica Gjakova’s Executive Director, Mirlinda Sada, a critical element of the program involves reflecting on the delivery of healthcare, particularly for individuals with challenging backgrounds. “We are here to reflect on how we care for one…” Sada stated.

The STA-HS manual provides a structured approach to addressing the specific needs of patients grappling with stress and trauma, ensuring consistent and sensitive treatment. Medica Gjakova’s efforts represent a significant step towards improving the quality of healthcare services available in the region. The focus remains on providing accessible and supportive care within the Kosovar healthcare system.
