Two new lambs are born on Mount Sharr.

The National Park of “Mali i Sharr” has announced a significant development regarding the region’s wildlife. Through the use of camera monitoring, two new Balkan wild goats have been successfully recorded within the protected area. This exciting discovery adds to the ongoing efforts to conserve this rare species.

Currently, the total number of these endangered animals now stands at five. Park officials utilized their camera systems to observe two new individuals within the territory of “Mali i Sharr”. These observations occurred during routine monitoring activities of the area, which is administratively part of the Municipality of Vrapcishit.

The successful identification of these two animals elevates the count from three to five. Importantly, both individuals are reported to be in good health. This positive health status serves as a key indicator, suggesting the stabilization and potential recovery of the Balkan wild goat population within the “Sharr” region.
