False Alarm: Threat Against Skopje Shopping Centers Dismissed
Skopje – The Ministry of Interior announced today, April 19, 2026, that reports of explosive devices placed within several shopping centers in Skopje were unfounded. A threatening message was received by the Ministry’s official email address alleging the presence of devices at the “East Gate” and “Diamond” shopping centers. Upon receiving the alert, immediate action was taken by police forces.
Security personnel were deployed to secure the affected properties and conduct thorough checks both inside and surrounding the shopping centers. These investigations encompassed a comprehensive assessment of the areas. Following a detailed examination, authorities determined that the message constituted a false alarm.
