Italian law enforcement officials recently arrested an Albanian citizen connected to the trafficking of a substantial amount of cocaine. The operation, conducted by the Carabinieri, took place in the Civita Castellana area and the Viterbo province. During the anti-drug initiative, two individuals were taken into custody.
A 50-year-old Albanian man and a 31-year-old Pakistani man were among those arrested. Both are facing charges related to the possession and intended distribution of narcotics. A considerable quantity of illicit drugs was seized, totaling 2.5 kilograms of cocaine.
This was discovered within a vehicle involved in the operation. The investigation began with police surveillance of the Pakistani man. This monitoring ultimately revealed his participation in a larger drug trafficking network.
The arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes within Italy. The Pakistani man is now part of the legal proceedings.
