The first day of Fitur Bajram celebrations has been announced by the Islamic Community with an official notification.

The Islamic Community of Kosovo has announced that the extended Ramadan period will end on Wednesday, March 19, 2026. Following this, the first day of Fitr Bayram celebrations will be Friday, March 20, 2026. A formal statement outlines the planned festivities for the Republic of Kosovo.

The primary Fitr Bayram event will take place at the Great Mosque in Pristina. The program’s commencement is scheduled for 05:03, beginning with the prayer of salat al-falah. Subsequently, a thematic lecture concerning the holiday will be presented by Ibrahim ef.

Beqiri, the head imam of the Islamic Community of Kosovo in Ferizaj. The statement further details that prayers for Fitr Bayram will commence at 06:18, led by Vedat ef. Sahiti, the head imam of the Islamic Community of Kosovo.

The Mufti of Kosovo, Naim ef, will deliver the sermon for the day’s celebrations. This marks a significant occasion for the Muslim community within Kosovo, signifying the end of Ramadan and the start of joyous festivities.
