“Not via WhatsApp,” Çitaku says Kurti didn’t send him written invitations for a meeting – “we wanted to discuss the principles.”

Kurti Has Not Issued Formal Invitations for Presidential Meetings, Says PDK

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is scheduled to meet with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku tomorrow, April 20th, at 11:00 AM in the halls of the Kosovo Parliament to discuss the upcoming presidential election. This meeting marks the second such engagement between the two leaders in recent days. The PDK (Democratic Party of Kosovo) has yet to receive an official invitation to participate.

According to PDK Secretary Vlora Çitaku, speaking to Klankosova.tv, the party was not contacted through formal channels. “We requested that the Prime Minister send an official letter and not invite us via WhatsApp channels,” Çitaku stated. The PDK’s lack of an invitation follows a similar situation with the LDK.

Kurti has not issued written invitations for these meetings, focusing instead on direct communication. The PDK is awaiting confirmation of a formal meeting with Kurti to discuss the principles surrounding the presidential selection process. The article was last updated on April 19, 2026.
