Iran has warned of a “powerful action,” seeking evacuations from oil sites in the Persian Gulf.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran delivered a stark warning on Wednesday, asserting that Iran’s enemies must prepare for “forceful action” from the nation’s armed forces. This response followed Iran’s accusations of attacks targeting its crucial fuel and energy infrastructure. The IRGC cited these assaults as a direct consequence of damage inflicted upon Iranian oil and natural gas production facilities.

Specifically, Tehran has implicated the United States and Israel in targeting key parts of Iran’s oil and natural gas production, including the expansive South Pars field – the world’s largest natural gas field. Confirmation of these attacks would mark the initial instances of direct assaults on Iranian oil and natural gas production sites within the ongoing conflict. Last week, Israel conducted a targeted operation against several Iranian fuel depots.

A source within Israel revealed to CNN earlier Wednesday that Israel was involved in these actions. The IRGC’s statement underscores Iran’s determination to respond decisively to perceived threats, signaling a heightened state of alert and a willingness to take immediate action. The situation remains tense as Iran anticipates further developments and potential escalation related to the security of its oil reserves.
