The Peje-Kulle-Rozhajë road remains blocked today due to ongoing snowfall impacting the region. The National Border Management Center has issued a statement confirming that this section of roadway remains impassable for all vehicle types in both directions. “We inform you that the Peje–PKK Kulle–Rozhajë road and its reverse are still closed to all vehicles,” the statement reads.
Authorities are committed to providing updates as soon as they become available. A family of three children was successfully rescued after becoming stranded by the snow on the Kulle–Rozhajë road. The road has been closed since yesterday, a consequence of the challenging weather conditions.
Several other travelers were also stranded in the same area, including a five-member family. The Mountain Search and Rescue Service facilitated the evacuation of this family. Officials are strongly urging caution and advising against travel in the affected area.
