Pasholli: We will not support the weakening of the technical government.

BDI MP Declares Opposition to Government Reforms

Tirana – BDI (Alternative Future) MP Arbana Pasholli announced that her parliamentary group will not support proposed legislation aimed at weakening the current technical government. Pasholli stated that any significant alteration to previously established agreements should be achieved through a comparable political consensus. Specifically, the group will not support the draft law concerning parliamentary deputies and the draft law regarding the government.

Pasholli emphasized that the current parliamentary majority intends to expedite the legislative process, a point she views as concerning. Regarding the government draft, Pasholli asserted that progress made through political negotiation and with international backing requires a reciprocal process of agreement, potentially necessitating international mediation. “In principle, we will not support” this legislation, she clarified.

Furthermore, Pasholli expressed continued reservations about the draft law on Higher Education, indicating that existing concerns remain unresolved. She stated she is making a plea for a more comprehensive response to these issues. The BDI’s stance signals a potential point of contention within the governing coalition.
