LDK Questions Urgency of Potential Meeting with Kurti
Prishtina – The Deputy Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, has expressed reservations regarding a potential meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, following reports of a possible invitation by April 27th. Haziri emphasized the need for a serious and credible invitation before the LDK would consider responding. Speaking on RTV21, Haziri questioned the public’s anticipation surrounding the prospective meeting, stating that the lack of concrete details was unclear.
“I don’t know what the reason is that makes the public hopeful for a meeting to take place,” he explained. Haziri stressed that any invitation extended to the LDK, and particularly its leader Lumir Abdixhiku, must contain specific and acceptable terms. He asserted that the invitation should be “convincing” for Abdixhiku, given the current situation.
The LDK representative indicated that the invitation’s content needs to be clearly defined and represent a viable path forward. The party remains cautious until a formal invitation is presented and deemed satisfactory. The possibility of a meeting remains under discussion.
