Fortnite is returning to Google Play worldwide.

Fortnite is making a triumphant return to Google Play globally after almost six years of legal disputes. The popular Battle Royale game is now freely downloadable on the platform, coinciding perfectly with the launch of its new season, Fortnite Showdown. This significant development was detailed by Telegrafi.

The return marks a resolution to a protracted battle. Following a successful reappearance on the American Google Play store in December, and a relaunch within the Apple App Store last May, the game is now accessible once more. Fortnite was initially removed from both Google Play and the Apple App Store in August 2020.

This removal occurred following Epic Games’ attempt to introduce an independent payment system for in-game purchases. Subsequently, Epic launched a major legal challenge against Google and Apple. Ultimately, Epic prevailed, leading to substantial alterations within the Google Play and Apple App Store ecosystems.

The resolution allows players to once again enjoy the immensely popular fortnite on google play.
