Rama for Turkish media: If Kosovo is harmed, then Albania is also harmed.

Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Albania, addressed several issues during a conversation with Turkey Today, encompassing relationships with Turkey and the ongoing difficulties within the Balkans. He reiterated Albania’s unwavering backing for Kosovo, firmly asserting its permanent sovereignty. “Kosovo is independent, it remains a republic,” stated Rama, as reported by Telegrafi.

This process, he emphasized, is fundamentally unalterable. Rama underscored the critical connection between the two nations. He cautioned that any serious danger threatening Kosovo would immediately pose a danger to Albania.

“If Kosovo faces an existential crisis, Albania experiences one as well,” Rama stressed, highlighting the deep bond between the countries. The discussion centered on the paused negotiations mediated by the European Union between Pristina and Belgrade. Rama acknowledged the stalled dialogue, yet remained resolute in his commitment to Kosovo’s security and autonomy.

His words reflected a clear prioritization of Albania’s security alongside the stability of Kosovo. Rama’s position remains steadfast: supporting Kosovo’s independence is a core principle for Albania.
