Four thousand cannabis roots were seized by police. They clarified that these were not the property of the director of the Rrogozhina Prison.

The State Police issued a statement this Friday detailing an operation conducted yesterday in Kurtaj, a village within the Gjocaj administrative unit of Peqin. During the operation, approximately 4,000 cannabis plants were discovered in two warehouses. This action coincided with the voluntary surrender of Bilal Hasa, the director of the Rrogozhin Prison.

Subsequently, Hasa was released today following this development. In response to information released yesterday concerning the wanted status of the Rrogozhin Prison director, the Police clarified that “citizen B. H.

appeared voluntarily before Police structures.” Investigators determined that the property where the cannabis was located did not belong to Hasa, but rather to his brother. Following investigative procedures overseen by the Prosecution, it was revealed that the premises involved in the criminal activity were not the director’s property. The operation successfully resulted in the seizure of the cannabis plants.
