Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania directly addressed accusations made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding a “militant alliance” involving Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia. Speaking in an interview with Türkiye Today, Rama strongly refuted these claims, describing them as baseless anxieties stemming from Serbia’s position concerning Kosovo. “President Vučić possesses considerable knowledge and insight, but he employs a specific tactic,” Rama asserted.
“His strategy revolves around Kosovo. That is the entirety of it; the end of the matter.” He explained that when this tactic influences political sentiment, it inevitably produces illogical statements. Rama further characterized the situation as a deliberate deception, part of Vučić’s established approach.
“This represents another layer within his tactic,” he added. “Serbia maintains a considerably more robust agreement with Croatia than this alleged alliance suggests.”
Ultimately, Rama dismissed the notion of a coordinated military alliance, emphasizing that his response was rooted in recognizing the underlying motivations behind Vučić’s assertions. He reiterated that Kosovo remains central to the issue, highlighting his belief that it is the core of the situation.
