What did Çitaku say to Geci in Parliament about “seeking pardon”?

Çitaku Refuses to Engage with Geci Following Parliamentary Exchange

Pristina – Following a statement made by former PDK parliamentarian Fatos Geci regarding language used against him, General Secretary of the PDK, Vlora Çitaku, addressed the situation. The exchange occurred within Parliament on April 30, 2026. Çitaku stated that she declined to engage in a conversation with Geci.

Upon seeing him approaching, she reportedly instructed him to leave the room. According to Çitaku’s account, she did not hear his initial statement and simply requested his departure. The PDK General Secretary emphasized the need for accountability regarding past conduct.

She asserted that individuals who have engaged in abusive behavior should not be accepted without consequence. Çitaku clarified that apologies alone were not deemed sufficient to address the situation. “I refused to listen,” Çitaku explained.

“I saw him coming towards me, but I only told him, ‘ik, leave, I’m not speaking to you, leave.’”

The incident highlights ongoing tensions within the PDK following Geci’s public comments and subsequent request for an apology.
