Lushaku Expresses Concerns Over Campaign Against LDK
Kosovar Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Jehona Lushaku addressed concerns regarding a recent intensification of activity targeting her party. Speaking on April 30, 2026, Lushaku reported that an “indecent campaign” has commenced, characterized by the distribution of fabricated posters in Serbian. Lushaku asserted that this campaign is an attempt to deflect attention from the LDK’s performance and to undermine its prospects.
She stated that those responsible are employing propaganda to “cover up failure” and attempting to create divisions within the political landscape. “When they lack substantive arguments, they resort to smear tactics,” Lushaku explained. “Furthermore, they fabricate nonexistent divisions to avoid a loss of support.”
The LDK leader reiterated that there are no plans for the party to withdraw from its current position.
However, she highlighted a growing concern regarding the potential formation of a right-wing political alliance, stating that this is the “truth they fear.”
The campaign, described as “indecent” by Lushaku, has raised questions about the nature of political discourse within Kosovo and the strategies being employed by various political factions.
