Kosovo Ambassador Miftari Concludes Two-Year Term in Vatican City
Vehbi Miftari, the Ambassador of Kosovo to the Vatican, has announced his acceptance of a decree formally ending his tenure as head of the Mission in the Holy See. The announcement, made via social media, marks the conclusion of a two-year period of diplomatic engagement between Kosovo and the Vatican. In a post, Ambassador Miftari stated, “I inform you that these days I have accepted the decree of U.D.
President Haxhiu for release from the duty of the head of the Mission in the Holy See. This decree marks the end of my mandate in Vatican City.”
Miftari reflected on his time in the role as “important and challenging,” acknowledging the significance of the diplomatic work undertaken. He affirmed that his dedication to the Republic of Kosovo will continue, irrespective of the formal end of his ambassadorial mandate.
“Of course, not my commitment to the Republic, of which I have always served,” Miftari added. The Ambassador’s departure concludes a chapter of engagement with the Vatican, with his future contributions to Kosovo remaining a priority.
