Syla Predicts Opposition Victory if Kurti’s Vote Drops Below 40%
In remarks made by journalist Valon Syla, the potential outcome of the upcoming election hinges significantly on the vote share secured by Prime Minister Albin Kurti. Syla stated that if Kurti’s support declines to below 40%, it would represent a victory for the opposition bloc. However, Syla emphasized that this scenario is heavily reliant on strategic alliances.
He specifically identified the potential for the People’s Democratic Party (PDK) to align with the Initiative for Kosovo Self-Determination (NISMA), and the Liberal Demokrat Party (LDK) to partner with Agim Veli and Vjosa Osman. Without these crucial collaborations, Syla argued, Kurti’s chances of defeat remain slim. He referenced a previous comment by Prime Minister Kurti, who suggested a victory would be achieved with 51% of the vote, assuming strong performance from other parties and the formation of alliances.
Syla anticipates a competitive landscape, predicting that the Ramusha party will successfully cross the electoral threshold, potentially returning Kurti’s vote share to levels observed in February 2025. The journalist’s analysis suggests the election’s outcome will be determined by the ability of various parties to forge effective alliances.
