A tragedy occurred in South Korea, with 14 deaths resulting from a fire at a factory.

A devastating fire at a South Korea automotive parts factory has tragically claimed 14 lives and left almost 60 people injured. Firefighters responded to the scene and confirmed that all previously missing individuals have been identified following a thorough search of the factory’s three-story wreckage. Chief firefighter Nam Deuk-woo explained that the blaze spread with alarming speed.

When emergency personnel arrived, workers were already jumping from windows in a desperate attempt to escape. Authorities estimate that around 170 employees were present within the factory at the time the fire was reported. Initial delays in entering the building stemmed from serious concerns regarding its structural instability.

Furthermore, firefighters were unable to immediately combat the flames due to the presence of sodium, a substance prone to explosive reactions when combined with water. Approximately 200 kilograms of highly reactive chemicals were safely removed from the location before firefighting efforts could commence. The intense nature of the fire and the hazardous materials involved presented significant challenges for the emergency response team in this South Korea factory incident.
