The Basic State Prosecution in Pejë, in conjunction with the Kosovo Police, particularly the Regional Police Directorate in Pejë, has reported an incident occurring today at approximately 3:08 PM in the village of Bokshiq, within the municipality of Klinë. Initial reports indicated shots had been fired. Responding swiftly, the police immediately dispatched officers to the location.
It was then established that a person had sustained injuries due to gunfire. The injured individual was quickly transported to the Pejë Regional Hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the medical team, the person succumbed to their severe wounds.
A forensic doctor from the Pejë Regional Hospital formally confirmed the individual’s death. The Kosovo Police subsequently apprehended the suspected individual at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody and held for a period of 48 hours, as directed by the State Prosecutor, on suspicion of the serious offense of “Aggravated Murder.” This significant event in Klinë is currently under active investigation by the police.
