Inter Milan Confirms Barcelona Interest in Alessandro Bastoni
Inter Milan’s Director General, Beppe Marotta, has addressed reports of Barcelona’s interest in defender Alessandro Bastoni. Speaking on “Radio Anch’Io Sport,” Marotta confirmed that the Spanish club has expressed admiration for the Italian player. Marotta stated that while there is interest from Barcelona, there is currently no formal, concrete offer on the table.
“He is a great talent,” Marotta explained. “We acknowledge Barcelona’s interest, but at this time, there is no definitive proposal.”
The Inter Milan executive emphasized that Bastoni’s contentment within the club is a key factor. “A player only leaves if they express a desire to move,” Marotta noted.
“Currently, Alessandro is happy with Inter and we are pleased with his performance.”
Bastoni has been a pivotal component of Inter’s recent successes, notably their most recent domestic championship victory. He remains a central figure in the team’s defensive strategy. Marotta also highlighted Inter’s commitment to developing Italian talent, stating, “Italy produces talent.
We want to build upon this.” The situation regarding the player remains fluid, with no immediate plans for a potential transfer.
