Democratic Party of Kosovo Rejects Limaj Inclusion on Election List
Kosovar Democratic Party (PDK) leader Vlora Çitaku has stated that the party will not include Social Democratic Party leader Fatmir Limaj on its parliamentary election list for June 7th. Speaking on Frontal on T7, Çitaku emphasized the PDK’s objective of constructing “the most inclusive list” possible. Çitaku explained that the PDK seeks to incorporate fresh perspectives within the political landscape of Kosovo.
She asserted that the current political scene requires new figures and personalities. “Our goal is to make the most inclusive list… I believe that the political scene in Kosovo needs new figures, needs new personalities,” she stated. The PDK leader indicated that the matter of including Limaj had not been a topic of discussion.
Çitaku anticipated a similar outcome to recent elections, suggesting a lack of support for Limaj’s inclusion on the party’s list. The PDK’s decision reflects a broader strategy to broaden its appeal and incorporate diverse voices within its election list. The party aims to present a comprehensive offering to voters as they prepare for the parliamentary elections.
