Ismaili Accuses Dejona Mihali of Influencing VV Deputies’ Actions
TIRANA – PDK Deputy Chairman Uran Ismaili has alleged that Dejona Mihali exerts significant control over the parliamentary activities of Democratic Party of Albania (VV) deputies elected by the people. Speaking at a press conference held at T7 on April 5, 2026, Ismaili presented claims regarding the direction of speeches delivered by several VV deputies. According to Ismaili, numerous VV deputies are receiving pre-written speeches and messaging guidance from Dejona Mihali.
He stated that these deputies are essentially functioning as “voting machines,” receiving and delivering predetermined responses. “Most of the VV are receiving speeches, they are writing messages about what replies to make, most are turned into a voting machine, that read out the messages they send them…” Ismaili asserted. The accusations center around Dejona Mihali’s influence within the parliamentary process.
Ismaili concluded by stating, “Dejona Mihali controls the parliamentary lives of the people’s elected deputies.”
The claims are currently under scrutiny, and representatives of the VV party have not yet responded to requests for comment. The allegations raise questions regarding the autonomy of elected officials and the potential for undue influence within the Albanian Parliament.
