Moving forward with early elections: We are the second largest political force in the country, and the government has a stable majority.

VLEN Announces Final Steps Towards Party Formation Following Election Announcement

Skopje – The Internal Democratic Alliance (VLEN) has responded to recent calls for early elections initiated by opposition parties following Prime Minister Hristjan Mickoski’s announcement of forthcoming elections. VLEN confirmed it is currently in the final stages of dissolving into a single political party, solidifying its position as the second-largest political force in North Macedonia. The alliance stated its intention to further strengthen its standing within the country’s political landscape.

“We are in the final phase of merging into a single political subject, which will formally establish VLEN as the second political force in the country,” a VLEN representative stated. Recent local election results have bolstered this assessment. VLEN secured victory in ten municipalities, representing approximately 80% of the results.

The government maintains a stable and considerable majority, with indications of potential expansion. Analysts note that these developments highlight the evolving political dynamics within North Macedonia as VLEN continues to consolidate its power and influence ahead of the upcoming elections. The party’s strategic move underscores its ambition to remain a significant political force.
