Kosovo achieved its first victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina in handball.

The Kosovo National handball team secured their inaugural triumph against Bosnia and Herzegovina after a sixth attempt. The victory occurred on a Sunday evening in Pristina, with the Kosovar players prevailing 33 to 29 at the Youth Palace. Despite this first win, the team’s progress to the third and final qualifying round for the 2027 World Championship was ultimately unsuccessful.

Bosnia and Herzegovina had previously secured advancement due to their dominant victory in Tuzla, winning by 13 goals. The game commenced with a clear advantage for Bosnia, but Kosovo swiftly responded, rapidly establishing and sustaining a lead. During the initial half, Kosovo maintained a two-goal advantage, and in the subsequent period, they extended their lead to a four-goal difference on several occasions.

Bujar Ramosaj proved to be the most impactful player in this contest, contributing seven goals and directing the team’s defensive efforts. Four goals were scored by Kosovo’s players. The overall result favored Bosnia and Herzegovina, confirming their qualification.
