During the recent weekend, March 20th through 22nd, 2026, a significant operation was undertaken by police forces nationwide. Routine traffic patrols, carried out by officers from every interior ministry sector, resulted in the issuance of 1699 warrants. A substantial portion of these warrants, totaling 476, concerned drivers who had violated speed limits.

Sixty individuals were pulled over for instances of reckless driving, while eleven were stopped for driving under the influence of alcohol. Furthermore, seventeen drivers were found to be operating without valid licenses, and six were stopped due to previous court orders related to driving offenses. One case involved a driver proceeding in the opposite direction.

Throughout this period of intensified driving enforcement, twenty vehicles were impounded under Article 300-b of the Criminal Code. A comprehensive statistical review of police activity revealed a total of 198 offenses recorded during the extended weekend.
