Vjosa Osmani, the President of Kosovo, is engaged in discussions with various political parties to propose candidates for the new Electoral College. Many groups have already announced the individuals who will act as their representatives on this important body, while others are still working to finalize their selections. The ruling Movement for Self-Determination, who will have two representatives on the Central Election Commission, has yet to determine the specific names.
Spokesperson Arlind Manxhuka clarified this to Telegraf, stating, “We have not yet made a decision regarding the names, but we will soon submit them to the president and inform her.”
The PDK has similarly indicated that they have not yet finalized the names. “Not yet,” they confirmed, referencing the President’s request received on Monday concerning the appointment of Democratic Party of Kosovo members to the Central Election Commission. The process involves submitting names to the President for consideration, and the electoral process continues as parties work to designate their representatives.
The goal is to populate the Electoral College with suitable individuals, and the timeline for submitting these names remains a key element in the ongoing discussions.
