Italian law enforcement executed a significant drug operation, leading to the arrest of four individuals. Among those taken into custody were two Albanian citizens, aged 39 and 52, with the older man placed under house arrest. A 64-year-old Italian national and a 44-year-old Egyptian were also apprehended during the operation.
The investigation, conducted between September 2022 and March 2023, was initiated by the State Police and involved the provinces of Bergamo and Milan. As part of this extensive inquiry, authorities seized a substantial quantity of illicit substances. A total of 53,000 euros in cash, alongside 4.5 kilograms of cocaine and 1.7 kilograms of hashish, were discovered within an apartment located in Osio Sopra.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of 12 kilograms of drugs and 90,000 euros in cash. Following the issuance of arrest warrants in March 2026, officers carried out targeted searches at various residences. This year’s operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking.
