Shkupi Student Arrested Following Incident at School
Skopje – Police have arrested a 15-year-old male from Shkupi following an incident at a municipal elementary school in the Gazi Baba municipality on May 11, 2026. The arrest occurred after a complaint was filed regarding serious bodily harm inflicted on a classmate. According to police reports, the suspect entered the school building and attacked a 15-year-old student with an as-yet-unidentified blunt object.
The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the assault. Responding officers from the Shkupi Basic Police Station took the suspect into custody. The weapon involved in the incident has been seized and is being processed.
“On May 11, 2026, at 2:50 PM in Skopje, police officers of the Shkupi Basic Police Station deprived a 15-year-old from Shkupi of his freedom, following an initial complaint from a municipal elementary school in the Gazi Baba territory, that the suspect had entered the school and caused serious bodily harm to a 15-year-old student in the school,” stated police officials.
