Malisheva, Kosovo – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the delivery of a two-week-old baby at the Malisheva Family Medicine Center (QKMF) on May 13, 2026. According to reports from Gazeta Express, the infant was delivered without vital signs. Sheremet Elezaj, the police spokesperson for the Gjakova region, confirmed the incident and stated that police units responded to the scene following a call from family members.
The state prosecutor was subsequently involved, and a case of “Death Investigation” was opened in consultation with them. The baby, approximately two old, was delivered at around 05:40 and transported to the QKMF by family members. Authorities have initiated a full investigation into the events surrounding the delivery.
