North Macedonia Forms Expert Group to Address Hantavirus Concerns
Skopje, North Macedonia – Health Minister Azir Aliu has announced the formation of a specialized group of experts dedicated to developing a crisis management plan in response to the recent global emergence of hantavirus. The announcement follows increasing international reports regarding the virus’s spread across multiple countries. Speaking to North Macedonian Health News Telegrafi Macedonia, Minister Aliu emphasized the proactive nature of the government’s response.
“I believe you know that for the first time there is a strategy for crisis management in the health system, it has gone through all the administrative procedures.”
The newly established group, comprised of representatives from various institutions, will be responsible for formulating a comprehensive plan. This plan will outline procedures to be implemented should a crisis involving the hantavirus virus arise within North Macedonia. “Also, yesterday a group of experts was created from various institutions, in order to make a plan, which if necessary, how to face the crisis,” stated Minister Aliu.
