Konjufca Dismisses Osmani’s Concerns Regarding Brussels Meeting

Pristina – Deputy leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Glauk Konjufca, responded to comments made by fellow party member Vjosa Osmani concerning a meeting in Pristina involving Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, and former special envoy Miroslav Lajčák. Osmani had stated that the individuals remained in a room for several hours and that she was unaware of the discussions held within. Speaking on “Debat Plus,” Konjufca asserted that the scenario is a standard element of the diplomatic process.

He explained that extended meetings with international observers are commonplace within negotiation settings. Konjufca characterized Osmani’s statements as utilizing specific political themes to criticize Vetëvendosje and Prime Minister Kurti. He suggested that the focus on relations with the United States and Serbia is a recurring tactic employed by both Osmani and other opposition parties.

The Vetëvendosje deputy leader emphasized the importance of the negotiation room as a functional part of diplomatic engagements, where prolonged discussions with external participants are regularly facilitated. Konjufca’s comments reflect a differing perspective on the ongoing dialogue surrounding Kosovo’s international relations, with Konjufca positioning himself as a counterpoint to Osmani’s criticisms.
