Twenty-seven years prior, on this very day, the esteemed professor, poet, and prominent activist, Latif Berisha, tragically lost his life at his house in the north of Mitrovica, due to the actions of Serbian police.

“Twenty-seven years later, his house in the north of Mitrovica is becoming a museum,” Kurti stated, “a recognition of his life, his contributions, and his resistance, and also honoring all citizens of this area who suffered similar losses in their homes and places following the conflict.”
