The government is preparing to evacuate another hundred citizens from the United Arab Emirates. Foreign Minister Timço Mucunski indicated that initial requests for evacuation were substantial, however, numerous rejections prompted a thorough review of the arrangements for the upcoming flight. Last night, a successful operation saw 151 individuals safely arrive at Prishtina Airport.
This group comprised 109 citizens originating from North Macedonia, alongside 42 individuals from various nations. These included citizens from Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia, Greece, and several other countries. The government intends to carefully evaluate the level of continued interest, particularly concerning the possibility of returning to their home country.
Based on this assessment, they will coordinate the organization of this subsequent flight. It is anticipated that a list of approximately 30 citizens may be involved. The authorities are committed to maintaining ongoing communication with those currently located in the United Arab Emirates, ensuring their safety and well-being.
The evacuation process will proceed as planned, prioritizing the safe return of these citizens.
