US reveals plan to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Hezbollah

Reports indicate that recent escalations, including directives for attacks against Beirut attributed to Benjamin Netanyahu, suggest strains on the diplomatic efforts spearheaded by the United States. Sources familiar with the situation noted that the intensifying conflict has prompted increased US involvement. This intervention included a meeting involving U.S.

Senator Marco Rubio, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During this meeting, a proposal for “gradual de-escalation” was advanced. The core of the suggested plan stipulated that Hezbollah must cease all attacks targeting Israel, in exchange for a commitment from Israel to withdraw from Beirut.

According to one official, President Aoun attempted to advance this framework to secure an agreement. However, it has been reported that Hezbollah is preparing to object to the terms. Meanwhile, the international community remains focused on the situation, as the UN Security Council is scheduled to convene an emergency meeting today to address the escalating tensions.

The diplomatic efforts aim to establish a pathway to reduce hostilities between the involved parties.
