Nikolloski: Macedonia fully supplies Pristina Airport with kerosene

According to the Deputy Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikolloski, the nation is set to enhance its connectivity by launching several new air destinations amidst the ongoing global aviation recovery. Nikolloski announced that the country will introduce five new routes in the coming weeks, positioning it as the sole nation currently expanding its air network. The expansion includes several key additions designed to boost both tourism and regional connections.

Specifically, Austrian Airlines will commence regular flights connecting Vienna to Ohrid, a development expected to significantly improve transit options through Vienna. Furthermore, Wizz Air is scheduled to begin services from Poland, operating flights out of Wrocław and Krakow directly to Ohrid. These new routes are anticipated to provide a positive impetus to the local tourism sector by attracting Polish visitors.

In addition to these international connections, the country will also bolster its domestic and Mediterranean offerings. From Skopje, travelers will gain access to two desirable destinations that are planned to operate beyond the traditional summer season. These include Palermo in Sicily and Alghero in Sardinia.

The rollout of these new flights underscores a commitment to revitalizing air travel infrastructure. The announcements made by Nikolloski detail a comprehensive strategy to increase accessibility, solidifying the nation’s role in the expanding European air travel market through these substantial new routes.
