The ballots for the July 7 elections are already at the CEC, to be distributed on Saturday.

At the Central Counting and Results Center, the process of depositing ballots, including those printed in Slovenia and transported to Kosovo, has commenced. Valmir Elezi, a representative from the Central Election Commission (CEC), provided details regarding the election materials for the upcoming poll on April 7th. Elezi confirmed that the CEC had overseen the printing of over 1.778 million ballots for the election.

A key point highlighted by the CEC representative was that the total number of ballots printed was less than the overall count of registered voters. According to the CEC’s official decision, a total of 1,778,300 ballots were printed for the April 7th election. These resources were allocated across several specific categories to ensure comprehensive voting procedures.

The distribution plan allocates 1,605,000 ballots for use at standard polling stations. Additionally, the count includes 19,450 ballots designated for absentee voting, 13,500 reserved ballots for contingencies, and 3,500 ballots intended for voters with special needs. Elezi noted that this practice of printing fewer ballots than the total registered electorate was consistent with previous election cycles.

The careful management and placement of these printed ballots are central to the logistical operations at the Central Counting and Results Center.
