Prishtina Municipality: Payment will be up to two euros only for entry into the city center

The Municipality of Pristina has announced new regulations regarding vehicle entry into the capital city for vehicles registered outside the municipality. According to Luftar Braha, the Director of Economic Development and Innovation for the Municipality of Pristina, the entry fee for such vehicles will be up to two euros, rather than the previously mentioned ten euros. Director Braha clarified that, during this initial phase, the entry tax will be limited to the central zone of Pristina.

He stated that the fee structure is intended to avoid imposing prohibitive taxes on personal vehicles and individuals. Specifically, the tax will not apply to cars and pedestrians moving within the designated area. The director addressed concerns regarding larger vehicles, noting that the tax structure aims to manage the flow of larger commercial transport, such as trucks or older buses.

He emphasized that the goal is to implement a targeted fee system for non-Pristina registered vehicles entering the central area. The Municipality of Pristina confirmed that while a fee structure is being implemented for certain vehicle types in specific zones, movement for people and personal cars within the defined areas will remain free of charge. These updated guidelines are being communicated by the Municipality of Pristina to manage urban traffic and development within the city limits.
