Cigarettes without trademarks were seized in the garage of a house in Pristina, valued at approximately 15,000 euros.

Units of the Kosovo Customs Anti-Smuggling Department executed a control operation in a garage within a residence in Pristina. This action followed receipt of intelligence via operational channels and subsequent authorization from the Custody Prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecution in Pristina. During the inspection, forty-four packages of cigarettes were discovered and subsequently seized.

These cigarettes were found to be unmarked, raising suspicions they had been illegally imported into the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. The total value of the seized cigarettes is believed to be approximately 15,000 euros. Authorities also estimate that the evasion of tax payments and customs duties associated with this operation amounts to over 30,000 euros.

Following the seizure, the Custody Prosecutor directed an interview with the suspect, who also served as the owner of the goods. The investigation is ongoing, focusing on understanding the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the unmarked cigarettes in Pristina.
