Bekim Sali, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs, chaired the fourth meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee for IPA III. The meeting took place in cooperation with the European Commission and the European Union Delegation in the Republic of North Macedonia. During his opening remarks, Minister Sali underscored the significance of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) in supporting the country’s reform agenda.
He stated that the IPA remains a critical mechanism for modernizing institutions and preparing North Macedonia for full membership within the European Union. Minister Sali framed European integration as a core strategic objective for the nation’s future. He noted that the ongoing reforms are viewed not merely as components of the accession process, but rather as strategic investments.
According to Sali, these efforts are designed to foster stronger institutional frameworks, stimulate a more competitive economy, and ultimately improve the quality of life for citizens. The committee meeting provided a platform for continued dialogue regarding the implementation and monitoring of the IPA III program.
