The state has once again suspended pensions for veterans working in regional public enterprises.

The government has once again halted payments for veteran pensions associated with regional public organizations. This announcement comes from Gazeta Express, reported on March 15, 2026, at 10:26. February’s veteran pensions for those employed in regional public enterprises remain outstanding.

Specifically, Faruk Jusifi, a KRM “Ambienti” employee based in Klina, indicates that despite the Supreme Court’s ruling and the disbursement of three 102 euro pensions, the payment for last month—due on March 20th—has not been processed. Mr. Jusifi, residing in Bokshiq village, joined the Kosovo Liberation Army at twenty years old following the conflict.

He has consistently received veteran’s pensions since the aftermath of the war, a benefit temporarily suspended due to his continued employment with the enterprise. He successfully secured the pension again for a three-month period, however, state payments have ceased for the preceding month. These actions impact Kosovo veterans reliant on these pensions, highlighting ongoing challenges in ensuring timely compensation for those serving in regional public enterprises.

The situation underscores the need for consistent and reliable disbursement of veteran pensions.
