The state has once again frozen the pensions of veterans working in regional public enterprises.

Former war veterans working in regional public enterprises are still awaiting their February pensions. A significant number of individuals, including Faruk Jusifi from Klina, an employee of KRM “Ambienti,” have not received their promised payments. Mr.

Jusifi reports that after the Supreme Court’s ruling, three pensions totaling 102 euros were processed. However, the payment for January remained outstanding on the 20th, a crucial date for many veterans. Faruk, residing in the Bokshiq village, enlisted with the Kosovo Liberation Army at the age of 20 following the conflict.

He previously benefited from veteran’s pension benefits until his employment with the company was initiated. He successfully collected his pensions for three months; nevertheless, the state has failed to fulfill its obligation for the most recent month. This absence of communication regarding the delayed payment was initially unacknowledged to him.

The veteran, who served from April 1st, 1998, highlights the ongoing issue impacting numerous individuals. These are retired veterans reliant on regular pensions, and the situation underscores the challenges faced by those employed in regional enterprises. The unresolved payments represent a significant concern for these individuals and their families.
