The implementation of the Law on Foreigners, MPB: From tomorrow it can be applied for residence permits and address declaration.

The Ministry of Interior has formally notified the public that, after a specified period of notification concluding on March 15th, the full implementation of the Law on Foreigners and the Law on Vehicles will take effect from March 16th. According to the statement, individuals can now initiate applications for these necessary permissions.

The announcement reflects the declarations made by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the EU’s Special Representative, Peter Sorensen, on March 14th, 2026. Specifically, following the designated information period, applications for residency or address registration will be accepted beginning March 16th.
