After the Peja Branch, even the LDK in Lipjan is demanding the resignation of Lamir Abdixhiku

The LDK branch in Lipjan has called for the resignation of the party leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, citing the recent election outcomes as a standard of political responsibility. This demand follows similar calls from the LDK branch located in Peja. In a statement approved by the Presidency and the leadership of the LDK branch in Lipjan, acknowledgments were extended to the party structures, activists, and citizens for their dedication throughout the recent electoral cycle.

While the statement noted a quantitative increase in support for the LDK in Lipjan—rising from 6,338 votes, or 19.40 percent, in the October 2025 elections to 6,455 votes, or 23.60 percent, in the June 2026 elections—the branch concluded that the performance remained significantly below expectations and the level of commitment demonstrated by the local structures. The official communication emphasized that despite the statistical improvement, the results were deemed insufficient for the party’s objectives. This assessment has prompted the LDK in Lipjan to publicly advocate for a change in leadership.
