The Municipality of Pristina publishes the list of beneficiaries of subsidies in the agricultural sector

The Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Capital has released the official list detailing beneficiaries for direct payment subsidies within the livestock sector for the year 2026. This announcement signals an expansion of financial support aimed at fostering the growth of family farms and bolstering the overall resilience of the livestock industry. The Directorate highlighted significant increases in the subsidy allocations across various animal husbandry categories.

Specifically, financial support earmarked for sheep farming saw an increase of 16.8% compared to the previous year’s figures. More substantial growth in subsidies was recorded for breeders specializing in goats and cattle, which benefited from an increase of 28.0%. Officials from the Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development stated that these heightened subsidies represent a notable commitment to strengthening the entire sector.

The increased funding is designed to provide tangible support directly to producers, thereby encouraging investment and sustainable practices within the agricultural community. These updated subsidies are structured to facilitate the modernization and expansion of small-scale and family-run livestock operations. By increasing financial aid for key livestock components like sheep, goats, and cattle, the government aims to stabilize the market and improve the livelihoods of rural producers.

The Directorate views this substantial boost in financial resources as a crucial measure toward achieving comprehensive development and stability within the nation’s vital livestock sector.
