VLEN: Albanian municipalities are being built, 306 projects are changing their appearance

VLEN stated that Albanian municipalities have historically faced marginalization regarding investments, suggesting that development initiatives were often guided by party interests rather than the actual needs of the citizenry. During a recent press conference, VLEN highlighted that their commitment within the government has facilitated the initiation of 306 transformative projects across Albanian municipalities. They asserted that this figure represents tangible proof that public funds are being allocated to areas genuinely requiring development, rather than being dictated by political agendas.

The group cited recent achievements to support this claim. Specifically, four municipalities overseen by VLEN announced several significant infrastructural investments. In Tetovë, for instance, the “Sami Frashëri” road was upgraded.

Furthermore, the Dëbërcë–Çiflik road in Zhelinë was completed, marking the culmination of efforts spanning over three decades. Construction has also commenced on the Rakovec–Bogovina road in Bogovina, while ongoing investments continue throughout Dibër. These announced projects underscore the stated focus on revitalizing local infrastructure.

VLEN maintained that these developments demonstrate a shift in resource allocation, prioritizing the tangible needs of the municipalities across the country. The emphasis remains on using governmental influence to ensure that development projects directly benefit the communities within the Albanian system.
